Well we all had a feeling this would bite us in the but. Roberto had every right to say what he did, it was even proven that some of the decisions the referee was making were wrong, so why can't he say what is on his mind? Well in the modern world of football you can not as a manager or a member of the club say that an official or player brought a match into disrepute without evidence.

FA Dismiss Martinez's Appeal

Roberto Martinez stood before the FA on the 16th October and sent forth the evidence that he had brought together to show that he was innocent in the affair, which took place post Manchester United. Roberto at the time said that Wigan got unfair decisions against the bigger teams especially United at their home grounds.

Martinez to Appeal his Fine

The saga goes on, as following his £10,000 fine by the FA, Roberto Martinez now says he will look to appeal the ban if he believes there is subsequent grounds to do so. The FA will send Wigan a written confirmation of the verdict at some point tomorrow, depending on the wording of the verdict, Martinez may have room to move.

Well did we expect the FA to back down? The short answer is no. In the modern game if you have an opinion about the officals then your best bet, is to keep it to yourself otherwise face the wrath of the annoyed Football Association.
