Adam Buxton Joins Burton Albion

Pete Norton

Versatile defender Adam Buxton has joined League 2 promotion candidates Burton Albion on a months loan.

The 21 year old who captained the Development squad joined the League 2 side as cover for the injured Shane Cansdell-Sheriff who has suffered a broken cheek bone.

The young defender has signed in time for Burton's trip to Championship new boys AFC Bournemouth. The young defender who can play anywhere across the back four has been closely watched by manager Gary Rowett who had this to say about the defender to BBC Sport:

"At the moment, with one or two injuries, it was important that we got someone in to add to the numbers at the back. He is a big lad and can play in a number of positions across the defence"
