Mike Pollitt has signed another one year contract keeping him at Latics till the end of next season. The goalkeeper who turned 38 this year, is a valuable part of the squad.
The keeper only made three apperances last season, but in each of them he looked like he did in our first season in the Premier League. He is a player who is worth having in the squad and that looks like it has been recognized, his experience brings a clear and helpful head to a young dressing room.
Mike looked like he may be on his way out of the club following Paul Jewell to Ipswich but for another term he will be a wiganer, and he is very welcome into the squad.
One other player who was three at the end of June, Steven Caldwell, has left Latics blues, and joined the midland blues. He has signed a two year contract at Birmingham having not been offered a new contract at Wigan.
