Over the past week, Wigan have seen the departure of one player and another signing join the team. First Mauro Boselli's loan move back to former club Estudiantes was completed it is believed that the player could make the move permanent next season for a fee of £4 million.
The Argentinean has failed to adapted to the English lifestyle only scoring one goal in his first season at the Latics. Loaned out in January to Genoa where he scored three goals, but again struggled to really hit the form he had back in his home country. Martinez has said that the player still has a future at the club, but I doubt that now, with it likely he will return home next season on a permanent basis.
Wigan have also moved in for former Manchester United and Wolves player David Jones. The midfielder was on a free after not signing a new contract with Wolves at the end of the season and he has made the move from the midlands. Martinez has said it is a great signing for the club, the talented midfielder adding much to an already strong central midfield.
