As the end of September draws in, its time to take a look back over what has been four games really to forget for Latics. Yet who has stood out as your player who has given you that little ray of sunshine.
I hope that I have gotten this months four choices right. If not let me know.
First, to kick us off, is Franco Di Santo the Argentinian striker, who has managed to find some form. Scoring his fourth ever Latics goal this month, it was another deflected shot but at least he is having ago. Chasing players down and making himself available for a pass, you can't knock his work rate.
Ali Al Habsi, the ever reliable goalkeeper has made some great saves again this month. The penalty against Man City to name but one. Has he shone through as our teams best player of the month?
Gary Caldwell, captain and strong figure head at the back, even though we have been leaking goals this month, eight in total. He hasn't been afraid to throw his body in the way for the Latics cause. Works at 110% every week, but has his performances been good this month?
Finally it is today's goalscorer Mohamed Diame, the ever reliable legs of Diame have yet to fail Wigan. At times he may do too much, but his work rate and ability to track back and tackle players, along with a few skills and finishing touch have made he a quality midfielder for Wigan. Has he impressed this month?
