Well here comes that inevitable game against the side that look like they could run riot at the top of the Premier League. The coming of Manchester City really couldn't come at a worse time for Latics, who currently sit second bottom of the Premier League and getting points is what we need.

Yet this game also marks the end of a run of games, where getting any points would have been a novelty. So picking up points was good, and our overall performances have been good (not including the Sunderland game, we will not talk about that anymore).

Wigan will go into the game, with a more or less full strength squad. Mohamed Diame, Shaun Maloney and Steve Gohuri are all likely to miss the encounter. The only player we will really miss is Diame, who has I have said plays a massive role in our midfield.

So I pray that Ben Watson doesn't come into the midfield in his place. For Martinez to do, would be handing the game to Manchester City. Same with Jordi Gomez starting. Neither player has the high level of effort or bounce to really play against a side where we have to be at our best. Instead for me Hendry Thomas and James McArthur are the two players to come into the teams midfield.

As for our back four, it would surprise me if Emmerson Boyce didn't come into join what has been a very strong defence over the past few weeks.

So what about Manchester City. Well they will be with our Vincent Kompany, and the Toure brothers. While David Silva maybe a doubt for the tie, although I wouldn't hold my breathe.

It will be a strong side that Wigan face, so it still isn't going to be an easy game.

So who do I see as Manchester City's man to watch? Well you could choose so many players, for me I am going to go for Sergio Aguero who since making the move from Spain, hasn't stopped scoring for the club. Having scored 14 goals in the 19 games. The £35 million signing has been a revelation since making the move.

He has a very similar style to Lionel Messi in that he can pick the ball up, run at players and keep the ball totally under his spell. Yet it is ability to get in between the back four, making the darting run across them to slot the ball home that really makes Aguero a threat. The chances are, against our defence he will find it easy to open us up.

Yet who knows what will happen. City played yesterday against Liverpool in the League cup, with a more or less full strength side. So players maybe rested for the Monday night fixture against a lowly Latics side. That would be a our best chance of getting an upset.

We are Wigan after all. COYB!
