September Player of the Month was Shaun Maloney

You voted, and you got your wish by one vote. Shaun Maloney was voted as Wigan's September player of the month, although we didn't win a game at all (well in the league) it was still a fruitful month for the Scottish international midfield. He was our stand out player from the dire month.

Sharp, quick and looking to get on the ball and close down the opposition. It was what we have come to expect from the man who turned round our season last year with his rip roaring performances. Yet he has been unable to really rekindle the same form, but he that hasn't stopped him trying.

The little man just keeps running, its like he has an on built engine that just keep going and going. One thing that always impresses me about Shaun is his ball control, shown against Fulham. Shaun can take the ball down and hold off much stronger players.

So well done Shaun hopefully his performances will bring the team some points in the forth coming games.
