Antolin Alcaraz's Absence Continues

Well did we expect anything different? The Paraguayan defender is still out with a groin injury, which continues to persist since picking up on the last international duty for his country. Antolin is likely to continue his recovery ahead of a predict return within the next two weeks.

Speaking in the week, Roberto Martinez said that Alcaraz was head of schedule by at least a week. Yet the club is unlikely to rush the defender back; considering last season the player had a similar injury and bounced back quickly before being out for two months.

We don't want to rush him back, yet we need Alcaraz back to help stable our defense. Especially with both Figueroa and Beausejour needing rest after long trips away for their internationals. Martinez is said to be watching the two players upon their return today.

Another player missing this weekend is the winger Albert Crusat, the player has a slight knock to the knee and will be rested for this weekend.
