The third round tie will see Wigan face south coast opposition in AFC Bournemouth at the DW Stadium. The draw was made to day, and Wigan could have yet another possible banana skin on their hands, after falling short against League Two Bradford City.
Managed by former Burnley boss Eddie Howe, they will be stiff opposition in a game Wigan should look to go win. Any run in the cup is a good one for morale and for the fans spirits. While increased revenue and even a trip to Wembley can really add an extra dynamic to a team.
Hopefully we can get a good running going this year.
The tie will be played on the 5th or 6th January.
