Leave it to fans to make a game that had the markings of a boring game, to become interesting, for a minute or so. Leave it to the fans to take a match against Blackfreakingburn and make into Anfield Cat 2. News of Wigan matches don't make it to national media here in the States. I saw it on national American news sites. I mean come on folks, that's the best way to get a Wigan score on? I love it. Keep it up.

A one-nil match is always good, for the simple fact that the three points are taken and you can solidify the 15th place for at least a week. Why not be extra happy? I would be, because slowly, well, as slowly as a club can do in this era in the sport, they are turning into the old Bolton teams that Big Sam had.

Not that, that's a bad thing at all. Bolton was up here for so long that it was almost a given until this year, that they were safe. Wigan, has the manager, and better players to stay up in the EPL for a very long time. It's just how well your Chairman, and the manager have developed this team. Yeah I know Bolton is your mortal enemy, but from each enemy you can look at their strengths and steal from them.

That being said, really only one goal against freaking Blackburn? Come on, they are a midtable Championship club at best. They are Nottingham Forrest without the history. Oh and as a side note how is Nottingham only in the Championship? Why aren't they up? I mean come on Bolton has been up.

Yes, more matches at the lower end of the EPL are one-nil matches, but still if you are as stable and a decent scoring team, you should be able to put more than one through the goal posts at Blackburn. Oh, I know that Liverpool has had issues, then again Liverpool has had issues.

What to take out of this? Well, first, Wigan is staying up. That's no small feet, and it's a credit to the club. Secondly, it shows that Wigan can even turn a boring match.
