Okay so what can I say about the fixtures. Well first how much do we all look forward to hearing them. I was on my phone come nine o'clock trying to get hold of them as best I could, only managing to find out our first and very tough challenge. The game we start with his a home fixture against the current reigning European Champions. Good and bad sides to that, home game kick off's are always great, yet a nice mid-table team would have been appreciated.

So the rest of the fixtures, well we can't print them, unless I want a slap on the wrists and a hefty fine. One way round this is what This Northern Soul have done, cleverly constructed by Bernard. It doesn't give any teams names away and you get a good review of the fixtures.

So what are the highlights then. Well an away day trip to Everton is the point of call for Boxing Day fans. The holiday season finishing with a match against last years runners up Manchester United on New Years Day, a must watch game this season.

While looking at the fixtures there isn't a 'hard' month, were we play a row of the big teams in the league. Which could be a help or a hinder depending on which way you look at it. Do you want all of the games out of the way in one go, or to fight your way through the pack one at a time. The way we have it, I feel is better.

While we hope the season finished with Latics clear of the relegation spot my some margin. One thing for certain is that we will be playing Aston Villa at home of the final day of the season. Again nice to end the season at home, and if we need to win the game, a good fixture to have.
