Callum McManaman Signs For the Long Term

The 21 year old attacker has penned a new deal which will keep him at the club till 2016. The winger come forward had a successful period on loan at Blackpool, has gone on to make another 13 appearances for the club this season.

Yet another product of the Wigan Athletic youth system, could he follow in the footsteps of Leighton Baines, and get into the England squad. Callum McManaman still has plenty of time to really come out of his shell, and come next season it will be a crucial one for the attacker. So far this season when he has come on he has looked lively put has yet to produce much.

That is the key, Callum has to score and he has to create chances when he gets on the pitch, especially in the cup games that he gets. The game tomorrow is another chance for him to hopefully get his name on the score sheet, like he did earlier in the season against Nottingham Forest.

A big future ahead of him, Roberto Martinez has the faith in him; hopefully he will show us his talent and give us some exceptional performances in the years to come.
