Loan report: The Lads who are out

This weekly report takes a look at 3 players out on loan from the club. Fraser Fyvie, Rob Kiernan and Jordan Mustoe.

Out of the three boys on loan from the club, it was Jordan Mustoe who had the best result of the weekend as League 2 side Bury overcame Wycombe Wanderers 2-1 away from home after being 1-0 down at half time. The young left back is on loan at Gigg Lane for a month put in a solid performance according to a friend who was watching the game. Mustoe's ability to read the game was a particular highlight.

There was disaster for young centre half Rob Kiernan as Southend United were defeated by newly promoted Newport County 3-1 in League 2. According to a friend who has links with the club, Kiernan didn't have a good day at the office but he as been doing well with the Shrimpers primarily as a Centre Back.

The third player out on loan might be a bit more known to you, Fraser Fyvie. The 20 year-old centre midfielder signed from Aberdeen under Roberto Martinez and has featured 9 times for Latics but only once in the League. The Scot signed for Yeovil Town on loan until January and made his first start against Brighton where sadly he was brought off after suffering a shoulder injury. The midfielder did not feature in the Glover's 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday. The centre midfielder has been ruled out for two weeks so he is set to miss out on the trip to Leeds United on Saturday.

The League two boys are set to keep there places in their squads as Rob Kiernan and Phil Brown's Southend host Mansfield Town on Friday Night and Jordan Mustoe and Bury prepare themselves for the visit of Torquay United.
