Loan Report: Who's out and about

This weekly report takes a look at the 3 players out on loan from Wigan Athletic. Fraser Fyvie at Yeovil Town, Nouha Dicko at League 1 Rotheram United and young centre back Rob Kiernan at League 2 giants Southend United.

Nouha Dicko got his second goal in as many games for Rotheram United as he opened the scoring for the Millers after firing in a Alex Revell knock down. It wasn the first of 4 for Rotheram who beat Gillingham 4-1 to fire up to 6th occupying the last play off spot on 31 points, 1 clear of Swindon. It's cup weekend for Rotheram as they prepare for the visit of League 2 Rochdale on Saturday. A late Matt Richards penalty for Cheltenham split the points as it looked forever that Phil Brown's side were going to claim their 5th straight league win. Kiernan starting the game again and did a solid job at the back for Southend but was denied a clean sheet. Phil Brown's side remain in third a point behind leaders Oxford United in what is a very tight top 8 in League 2 as 4 points seperate the play-off contenders. Southend prepare for the trip to Chesterfield on Saturday as they too looked to progress into the 3rd round of the FA Cup. There was no place in the Yeovil squad for Fraser Fyvie this week on both occasions as they pulled off a shock 3-0 win at Vicarage Road as they out played the promtion chasing side with former Forest striker Ishmael Miller leading the charge for the Glovers as they claimed their first back to back wins on Tuesday night claiming an important 1-0 win over 8 man Blackpool to fire them up off the bottom of the table to 22nd only 2 points off safety. Improving Yeovil prepare for the visit of Charlton on Saturday, a big game for the Glovers as a win will fire them out of the drop zone.
