Injury Update: Duo to Return for FA Cup Date

Speaking to the local media, Roberto Martinez has hinted at the return to fitness of the missing trio. Antolin Alcaraz, Ryo Miyaichi and Albert Crusat have all been missing more or less all season. Their returns to the side have been long overdue, but could be round the corner.

Speaking to the papers, it appears that Martinez is now confident to give times about the returns of certain injured players. Adrian Lopez was the first long lay-off to feature, as he was on the bench against Macclesfield. The other two Ben Watson (Broken Leg) and Ivan Ramis (Cruciate Ligament) will be out for a while yet to come.

But good news on both Ryo Miyaichi and Antolin Alcaraz, with both according to Roberto Martinez could feature against either Huddersfield or Leicester City in the FA Cup. The game will be a great opportunity for the two to break back into football, with it being against lower league opposition in a game where the pressure isn’t as high

The other man on the verge of return is Albert Crusat. The winger has had all sorts of problems with his return from injury, but now he only looks a couple of week away, with just match sharpness to improve upon now. The winger could be back just after the FA Cup game.

The return of the three players in question would be fantastic for Latics, with the club needing a winger to help improve our attacks; while the return of Antolin Alcaraz will vastly improve our defensive options.
