Club News: Mauro Boselli Mexican Bound

The striker who has been one of the biggest flops in our clubs history, has now finally disappeared from the club leaving a huge gap in our wage bill which will be a massive help in recruiting new players this season.

This has to be the best piece of business we have done so far this summer. The fact that the club has been able to make some money on a striker who has found it so hard to score for us over his three year period as a Wigan player is some feat.

So Mauro Boselli will no longer be a Wigan player as the striker departs the club and heads for Mexican club, Club Leon. The deal has an undisclosed fee but the rumored amount if about £1.5 million, so we make back about a quarter of what we bought him for.

The bigger fact is the wage he has been on. He was reportedly was our highest earner so that would put him on something in the region of £50,000 a week. So to now have that back to play with is a great help for Owen Coyle and the rest of the team as we recruit new playing staff.
