Man of the Match vs Ipswich Town

A brilliant win from a tough match, but who stood out the most?

Paul Thomas

It was certainly a tough game this time around but somehow, some way, we managed to take all 3 points and keep a clean sheet. The defence, for a change, looks very strong, Rogne and Barnett were excellent, and Ryan Shotton was terrific on his home debut, bagging us the vital first goal. Nick Powell, another debut goal scorer, also looked very good, he's moving well, he's versitile and looks sharp.

The stand out player for this game though was none other than the life saver Scott Carson. This is the second time I have picked him as Man of the Match now and he really is putting in the work for it. He has been so instrumental in all of our games so far. On Sunday he demonstrated that again with save after save after save. His stop of Daryl Murphy's point black shot was an awesome sight to behold. The former England international will soon earn another call up if this form continues.
