All in all, considering the scoreline, I was quite impressed with the team's display. There was some dodgy defending at times, but we were saved by terrific goalkeeping. Our attacking plays are really starting to come together nicely as well. Rosler's high pressure style is certainly starting to take shape though now we just need the finishes!
So for this weeks Man of the Match I have selected two strong candidates. Jordi Gomez and Ivan Ramis. Both lads put on a tremendous display. Gomez has been solid this year and personally I think he will thrive under Rosler's command. It's all so amazing to see Ramis back as well as being back in form! What a display, even considering the rest of our defence was shaky at best. We've need Ramis or Caldwell back for sometime in my opinion, they take charge of the defence line and step up when they're needed. That's what solid experience does for your team.
I'd also like to give a nod to Ali Al-Habsi who seems to have come back from injury in good form! I'm glad he's back and making the saves that helped up so much in the top flight.
My final decision goes to Ivan Ramis and I truly think he deserves it. He did a splendid job at keeping out one of the best attacking forces in the Championship and for that we're all truly grateful!
