Like most of the squad, when Uwe Rosler came in he gave everyone a fair chance to impress him and show why they should be staring week in and week out. Yet striker Grant Holt hasn't managed to impress at all since signing in the summer, the player looks a shadow of the man who took the Premier League by storm.
For some reason then Aston Villa have kindly agreed to take Grant Holt off our hands for the remainder of the season. His wages alone will more than likely mean we can bring it one or two new players in January on loan. Being able to get rid of such a player is a great piece of a business by the club.
Paul Lambert last night said he was happy to take the man on loan from Wigan. Yet why confuses me. The striker has only scored two goals this season. With Villa needing someone to score goals, it seems odd.
However not our problem. Our problem has just walked out the door!
