One of the players that has always been massively bigged up for the future of not only the Premier League but as a main stay in the England set up as joined the club. Josh McEachran who has been a regular at many levels of the English youth system, along with the teams he has played at on loan, has joined Latics till the end of the season.
The signing of such a player is a bit of a coup for the club. It is a good signing as the player really adds some quality to our midfield. However the question has to be did our midfield actually need another signing? The question makes you wonder what role Rosler sees some of our other players we have in the squad.
Does the signing indicate a possible replacement for Shaun Maloney in the time he is out injured? Josh can play in an advanced role however I would say he is more ideal sitting and building from the back. The other option is that he has come in as a replacement for Nick Powell, with the Manchester United midfielder either returning to his club or Rosler pushing him further up in the attack.
Whatever the reason for the midfielders arrival welcome to the Latics Josh.
