Club News: Grant Holt Returning to Wigan?

We all know the Grant Holt story and we also now know that since signing for Huddersfield Town, well he has been playing rather well. Under the management of Chris Powell the striker seems to be finding his form again and you wondered if that could pave for a Wigan return.

Under Uwe Rosler that never looked likely with the manager and player never seeing eye to eye since the day Rosler walked through the door. However that now looks likely to change with Malky Mackay all but saying the door is open for a Holt return if the striker wants it.

The words coming from a report with the Wigan Evening Post suggests that Mackay sees a future for the striker, and well with everyone else we play up front misfiring who could blame Mackay for bringing Holt back to the club. The question still remains about if Holt could perform for us.

At the weekend there were several time when we needed someone bursting onto the end of crosses. Could that player be Grant Holt?
