Here we are again! Another match, another must win and we all must cross fingers and toes to hope that it finally starts to come good.

Well I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, the reality now returns as our side faces an away day trip to Leeds. Another game and yet another six pointer for us then as we face a struggling Leeds side. Following our 2-1 defeat to Rotherham United last week we are now six points behind being safe.

That sees us seven points behind Leeds United going into the game, they managed a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest courtesy of a Billy Sharp penalty. It hasn't been a peachy season for Leeds though, they have struggled over the past few months with new owner Massimo Cellino chopping and changing the manager at every other turn.

Neil Readfearn has been given more time than most to shape the side. He hasn't started to get results as such but he has brought some consistency to the side.

That is the complete opposite to Wigan at the moment. Malcky Mackay doesn't seem to have the right tactics or even team line up as we approach is seventh game in charge of the team. One thing that is clear though is that we need to start with striker up top and preferably two of them.

Things changed last time out when both Marc Antoine Fortune and Oriol Riera took to the pitch. Riera gave us an extra composure in the final third, whilst Fortune gives you strength and pace in the channels to stretch the oppositions back line. Hopefully today though we will see Andy Delort finally given a chance.

Something has to change and luck has to go our way eventually, the ball consistently hitting the back of the net preferably.
