The jolly Roger is a big fan favorite, whether rightly or wrongly he always gives 120% and then some more. Not one to stick his roles totally, he does wonder around the pitch and generally ends up getting caught out of position. Possibly why he doesn't start games but usually brought on when opposition legs tire.
The midfielder wasn't present against Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday night and you had to wonder why he wasn't. The answer to that has been revealed today by Uwe Rosler as he talks ahead of the game with Ipswich Town this weekend.
Roger has flown out to Munich to have the operation to repair the hernia and will now sit out on the sidelines for the foreseeable future. The semi final game against Arsenal will probably come to soon for Roger, but he should be back for the final push in the league though.
Roger being Roger, speaking to the offical site, has said that he is frustrated by the injury. The operation went well and that now it is time for him to put he feet up and get some rest.
