Weekly Round Up: Monday 23rd June

We seem to be closing in on transfer targets at the moment as the rumours around the club are now slowly starting to build up. In other news as Chile progress Honduras drop out at the group stage.

Warren Little

Terrence Boyd

We have been linked with this guy and well, the deal is supposedly more or less done. Rapid Vienna were stamping their feet last week saying the player wasn't going anywhere at all, the player has reportedly refused to sign a new contract and has told the club that he wants to move. Our interest as reportedly been stepped up and we have offered somewhere in the region of £2 million to take the player from Austria.

Rumours today have said that the player will be a Wiganer. Well fingers crossed looking at how he plays he would be a massively exciting player to have at the club.

Lukas Jutkiewicz

The Southampton born striker has been on loan at Bolton for the second half of the season and impressed scoring seven goals in 20 games at the club. Parent club Middlesbrough though are willing to sell the player and reports mid-week linked us with a swoop for the player. We supposedly were rivaling Wolves and Derby County, among others for the players signature.

Reports yesterday suggested that Derby will bud £1.5 million for the player this week and he will be heading to the Ipro Stadium. Interesting to see if we will rival them to try and give ourselves a couple of decent striking options.

Micheal Morrison

Couple of places mentioned us in the same breathe as the Charlton defender who is now a free agent. Could be a possibility if Gary Caldwell doesn't pen a new deal, however we have been more highly linked with a couple of other defenders over the summer so far. Not too sure whether or not this is a player we are actually in for or not.

Conor McAleny

Everton youngster who was on loan at Brentford last season for a time, before injury cut his time there short. We along with Brentford are now reportedly in for the player to bring in on loan for the course of the next season. Interesting one really, I think if we managed to get Body in permanently then a young hungry striker coming in on loan would be a good option.

Reading the Opener

The seasons fixtures were released last week and we have landed an opener against Reading. Last season arguably our best performance at home against Reading, hopefully then we can open the season on a high and a winning start.
