Confirmed Transfer: Emyr Huws Becomes Sixth Summer Signing

We are in need a of a short term midfield recruitment to help cover the large amount of injuries we have in that area. Well Wigan Athletic and Uwe Rosler have managed to get that short term cover in the form of a 19 year old Welsh midfielder.

We have been waiting for Uwe Rosler to use his links with Manchester City for some time now and well he has made his move and it could prove to be a very good signing. With James McArthur and Shaun Maloney doubts for the start of the season and the likes of Chris McCann and Ben Watson out for the next few months, that has only left us with three senior midfielders, we desperately needed another midfielder and that is what we have got.

20 year old Welsh international midfielder Emyr Huws has joined the club on a six month loan spell from Manchester City. The midfielder who has spent time on loan at Northampton (a team mate of Lee Nicholls when he was on loan there) and Birmingham City. On both loan spells he impressed and has been a mainstay in the Manchester City youth system and previous to that Swansea City's youth set up.

Rosler himself has worked with the player when he spent a short time at Manchester City's academy, and the gaffer believes he is an excellent addition to the sign who has plenty of potential to improve in his time at Wigan. Speaking to the offcial site Rosler spoke of the players attributes.

"He is a silky left footer, versatile, who can dictate play with his passing, but who does not shy away from the physical demands of the Championship."

Six signings now completed and for me only one more to go, that is if we can shift Grant Holt off the wage bill and bring in a replacement striker.
