Finally Uwe Rosler has got his man.

Paul Thomas

Literally moments ago the club have officially announced our new midfield signing Adam Forshaw, after what has been a long on going transfer saga the club have finally managed to agree a fee and get the players paper work pushed through and the player has now been unveiled as a Wigan player.

The clubs official statement unveils that Forshaw was Rosler's number one replacement for Jordi Gomez. The young English attacking midfielder joining on a four year deal for a fee which is believed to be in the region of £3 million. Considering Brentford FC wanted a reported £6 million the club have done very well to get their man.

The player who won the League One Player of the year last season, will hopefully come in and shake up the midfield. Classed as the replacement for Jordi Gomez, he will also have to try and help fill the void of losing James McArthur until we have the returns of Ben Watson and Chris McCann.

Welcome to the club Forshaw, big future ahead of this guy I feel.
