Confirmed Transfer: Emyr Huws becomes a Permanent Wiganer

New, 2 comments

What a day Wigan Athletic have had and Uwe Rosler has surely finished now with his fourth signing of the day!

Stu Forster

Well this one has been simmering since about three today. With James McArthur on the way out the club have looked to bolster their midfield options. Well William Kvist was signed earlier tonight and now we have managed to secure a very talented youth player from Manchester City.

The 20 year old midfielder who is on international duty with Wales has been in impressive form at Wigan Athletic this season which has made the club sit up and work to try and get him on permanent basis and quickly. Well a permanent deal has been struck between Wigan and Manchester City.

Quite how we have managed to get the player is beyond me. Emyr is very highly rated at City and to have manage to grab him shows great work by the manager and club today. Huws signs a four year deal, with the fee undisclosed which has been reported to be in the region of £2.5 million, which could be a steal.

With the loss of James McArthur to bring in four very talented players, three young and hungry players and one talented experience player. I know that losing James as hurt us as fans, yet one thing you can question is that the club have sat on their hands and let him slip away we have worked very hard and brought in quality replacements.

Well welcome permanently to the club Emyr I have a feeling you will fit right in here.
