Confirmed Transfer: James Tavernier off to Bristol City

One of our promising young players heads out on loan. Looking at it probably not a bad idea as he isn't going to get game time at the club at the moment.

James Tavenier was an interesting signing over the summer. The 22 year old was part of the Rotherham team which got promoted into the Championship, being on loan from Newcastle United. Several clubs were reportedly interested in the player but we made the move first and got out man.

Pre-season went well for the player, his talented right foot and dynamic attacking style showed some promise for our right wing back role, if not now in the near future. Yet his chances have been restricted this season, and when he has played there have been games when he has looked threatening and others when he has been very isolated.

With that all said it looks like Mackay has decided to let the player go for the time being to get some first team football. James will be with Bristol till the end of the season as they look to win promotion from League One.
