Paper Talk: Pulis Persistent and Wigan's Fortune Going

West Bromwich have been in again for our young winger, whilst there is a surprise in store as teams are looking at our misfiring striker.

The speculation surrounding any possible departure for Callum McManaman continue. The original offer from West Bromwich Albion has been upped as they look to get their man. The reported offer appears to be in the region of £4.5 million, our value appears to be around £6 million.

Callum has two more years on his contract and with Shaun Maloney departing we need to keep hold of a creative spark. Unless a team comes in with an offer that we can't refuse then I can't see us accepting an offer. Tony Pulis though is a persistent manager and may try again, speaking on Monday night after his team's game against Everton he highlighted though there maybe other targets that they are looking at.

Marc Antoine Fortune could also be a player on his way out of the club. The striker who was signed on a free two summers ago under Owen Coyle has been a player of controversy for the Latics fans. Someone who is selfish in his play and can cause an awful lot of problems for opposition defences, he hasn't managed too score many goals for us since joining.

This season that has been two goals, one of which was a fantastic strike against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Reports today suggest that both Ipswich Town and Charlton Athletic are looking at signing the player who only have six months to run on his contract at the club. I would see any offer being accepted with Fortune's current situation, if there is anything behind it the player could be heading out of the team. Another striker heading for the door.
