Paper Talk: Weekly Round Up 16th February

Been an interesting past week for the club. Yet another defeat, but on the other side we have been closing in on players to try and get us out of this mess.

Harry Maguire

The defender has come in on a month loan from Hull City. On the face of it a good signing, Mcguire was in inspirational form at Sheffield United last season. Since signing for Hull City he hasn't gone on to reach the heights many people would have expected. His loan spell with us comes as Liam Ridgewell heads back to the states.

Rob Kiernan

Talented young defender was linked with leaving the club over January with Charlton Athletic and Birmingham City. Kiernan has now gone on to join Gary Rowett's Birmingham City on loan till the end of the season. Since then the Birmingham manager has said that he is a long term admirer of our player and if he can, he would like to make the move permanent for our defender.

Juan Carlos Garcia

The mystery man who hasn't played for the side in much of a capacity has been diagnosed with Leukaemia. Our thoughts and wishes are with the player and his family, for more on the story click here.

Nottingham Forest 3-0 Wigan Athletic

The fallout from yet another defeat for the club as the manager is put under more pressure. The manager Malcky MacKay is now pointing the finger at his players who said following the fixture that only a few players were performing at a respectable level mid-week.

The word being bounced around the ground is that the manager will be on his way if there isn't a win come tomorrow night.
