It has been no secret that the club were very interested in Chesterfield winger/attacker San Clucas. However after rejection after rejection of offers the club decided to walk away, this left the door open and has seen Clucas join Hull City for a fee of £1.3 million.
It meant we had to look somewhere else for a player with the pace ad energy to unlock defensive, and the scouting team didn't really take long to find a a player.
Michael Jacobs, the 23 year old winger has completed a transfer to the club on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee. The rumored fee somewhere close to the £800,000 mark. The winger who signs from Wolverhampton Wanderers was a big part of their side that saw them prompted from League One with over a 100 points.
In that league winning season for Wolves, Jacob bagged himself six goals and the plaudits of the fans as a player who could push on into the Championship. However an injury plagued season last year saw him lose his place and he finished the season away from Molineux spending time on loan at Blackpool.
Another exciting signing as the squad now looks to be taking some shape with the league closing in on us very fast. Welcome aboard Jacob.
