Both Emyr Huws,,Tim Chow and Don Cowie are ruled out for the next month which leaves us very short in the middles of the park. Combine that with Chris McCann now playing more in central defense, rather than central midfield and the shortage stacks up.
With all that said Gary Caldwell and his team have completed the signing of Sean Murray on an initial one month loan period from Watford FC. The 21 year old Republic of Ireland midfielder will bring some real attacking intent to the team, the player who made is senior debut back in 2009 and so far has clocked up 75 league apperances.
In Watford's promotion pushing his chances were limited; and this looks set to be limited further. So the London have agreed to the initial loan with this period open to extension if Wigan Athletic feel the player is someone they wish to keep for a longer period of time.
A player here with real talent and ticks a lot of the Caldwell boxes for recruitment. Will be interesting to see how he fits into the side going into this weekends game against Coventry City.
