At the weekend the weird decision for me was the fact that the continually complacent Andrew Taylor made the starting line up ahead of the vastly experienced Maynor Figueroa. That option has now been taken away from us, with the Honduran returning to parent club Hull City.
That is a shame for us in the long run as he was a player that wasn't used to his best since the departure of Uwe Rosler. It had clearly become apparent to our former German manager that Taylor was not up to the job of playing in the left back position for us. Since his departure and Malcky Mackay's arrival the former Cardiff City player Taylor has become a mainstay in the starting 11.
The result of such action was the first goal against us at the weekend, mix in the number of times the player was caught out of position and Taylor's performance was diabolical.
So farewell Maynor Figueroa, yet again thank you for the memories and hope to see you back playing in the starting line up at Hull. You should defiantly have been with us here at Wigan, but things don't work out the way we want them to.
