Confirmed Transfers

First to a player who has departed the club, Frazer Fyvie. Yet another Scottish midfielder but this one didn't live up to the hype. Signed from Aberdeen he hasn't really had chance to play much for Wigan. Although he shone in pre-season and you wondered if this would be his year. The club though have decided to cancel his contract. You hope that we won't regret that in the future.

Coming into the club is a 17 year old attacker with a big future ahead of him. It is however his present that will be important to us as we bring Shey Ojo in on loan from Liverpool for the reminader of the season. The England under-18 international is well thought of at mellwood, and a loan move to us could kickstart his senior career. Let hope he has what it takes to spark us into life.

The Maybes

Only one player who is a possible signing and that is Cameroon left back Gaetan Bong who has been training with the club for about a week now to prove his fitness. The former Olympiacos player, who has been linked with Arsenal in the past, is now a free agent. Any sort of deal can be done whenever then, subject to international clearance and work permit. The report deal for the player could see him stay till the end of the season.

The Rumours

Lots of rumours have been floating around over the past 24 hours and here are the headline one to watch out for:

  • Reports suggesting the club have had enquiries for Chris McCann. The midfielder could be set for a Premier League move with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Hull City.
  • Rudolph Austin, the midfielder had previously been linked with a move to the club and the reports this morning suggest that a £500,000 offer could see him head our way.
  • Don Cowie passed Inverness medical?
  • Marc Antoine Fortune has clubs interested in him.
  • Andy Delort set for MLS or return back to France.
