Club News:Wigan Athletic's Fixture Round Up

Lets start by looking at just who we are going to face in the League. In an action packed calender Wigan start the season with a tricky away game against Coventry City at the Richo Arena on the 8th August. The following weekend sees our first home game against Doncaster City.

Christmas is a packed schedule with the club set to face Barnsley, Sheffield United, Fleetwood Town and Scunthorpe United over a busy festive period. Easter sees the club play away at Swindon Town on Saturday the 26th, before playing at home against Rochdale on the 28th.

We finish the season with a home game where Barnsley will be the visitors.

Mean while the club where seeded in the Carling Cup round one set of fixtures. That meant we would face an unseeded team in the first round. That team is Bury, who we will play at home on the week beginging the tenth of August. Just to make the busy start to the season even busier.
