The main problem with have this summer is yet another influx of players leaving, mix that in with needing to get our wage bill down and we have a problem. Uwe Rosler is now going to have to cut costs and the best way for him to do that is reduce the number of players we have at the club.
I won't be including loan players in this.
Goalkeepers
Scott Carson - Could be on the way out, between him and Ali Al Habsi for that number one slot, one of whom I have a feeling will leave.
Ali Al Habsi - As said above, however I feel he is the prime player to leave the club this summer. It looks like he will be leaving this summer.
Lee Nicholls - More than likely staying on, going to be number two next year and understudy to either Carson or Al Habsi.
Mike Pollitt - Contract is up in the summer, rumours are hinting that he could be offered another year at the club.
Defenders
James Perch - Would be massively upset if he goes.
Emmerson Boyce - Has another year on his contract so all is good with our captain staying at the club.
Gary Caldwell - Contract is up, Uwe Rosler though seems to like the club captain so you get the feeling he will be staying at the club for the foreseeable future.
Ivan Ramis - Was on the way out in January and would expect him to leave this summer, need to get him off the wage bill. Along with Grant Holt will make up major to summer departures, in terms of how much they cost us in wages.
Leon Barnett - Does a job, clearly a starter under Rosler but I cant see him leaving the club.
Thomas Rogne - Started season really well, injuries have really knocked his confidence and needs a full preseason under his belt. Young lad so plenty to come from him.
Rob Kiernan - New contract signed and sealed. Great news!
Markus Holgersson - Not played at all, would expect him to leave the club.
Stephen Crainey - Contract up, would like to see him sign a new one and give us some back up on the left hand side.
Juan Carlos Garcia - Not played, and wonder if he will. Hopefully will shine in the world cup and solve our left back problem for next season.
Midfielders
Chris McCann - Only signed in the summer, out injured and will be back for next season.
Ben Watson - Was meant to out of contract this summer, has signed a new one year deal so will be here come next season after recovering from broken leg.
Shaun Maloney - Has another year on his contract but if clubs come in with money then I can't see us keeping hold of him at the club.
James McClean - Reportedly linked with Leeds United, if we get an offer I would see him go. Can't imagine his wages being cheap.
Jordi Gomez - Out of contract, and reportedly off to Germany. Rosler has said a new contract is in the offering for Gomez, would love to see him stay at the club.
James McArthur - Linked with a move to Burnley, would like to think would stay with the club but like most of our team if a good offer comes in then we may not be saying no.
Jean Beausejour - Out of contract and out of Wigan. Can't see the club willing to meet his wage demands.
Roger Espionza - Linked during January and last summer with moves away from the club. If he impresses at the world cup we could struggle to keep hold of him.
Callum McManaman - Everton are known to have interest, but I don't see the club giving him up without a fight. Going to be massively important to any promotion push next season, and would expect him to be here still come September.
Frazer Fyvie - Been out on loan for most of season, doesn't look like he will have that big break into the squad. Reportedly had a trial at Sheffield United, would expect him to leave in the summer.
Daniel Redmond - Yet to break into the first team but has really impressed at Carlisle United, probably return to club over summer and be assessed by the Rosler as to whether he stays or goes.
Strikers
Grant Holt - Loaned out to Aston Villa and not impressed there much either. He has said he wants to stay there, but considering they are up for sale doubt they will risk a move for him, we can pray though.
Marc Antoine Fortune - One more year to run, unlikely to be our main striker but as ever hard working decent cover for the striking position.
Martyn Waghorn - Recently signed on a free and here to stay.
