Championship Round Up: Nottingham Forest and Norwich City Pull Away

Well as we slowly creep towards the ten game mark team are lining up in position. Two teams are looking likely to break way at the top, the point gap may not be huge bu both Norwich and Forest look the two in form teams.

Following international break you tend to get a lull in form for teams who have large number of international players. That though hasn't seen the top two slip up as Nottingham Forrest remain unbeaten and Norwich City picked up full points as they scored seven goals in two games and are lucky to hit top form.

It sends out a note to the rest of the league that yet again we have two teams who are going to push aside any teams that get in their way as they aim to win the league. Of course there is a chasing pack and it is Watford FC who lead the way.

Okay the London club are only a point off Norwich but with the off field shake up Watford are on a knife edge if they can keep this up. They lost at the weekend and then only managed a 1-0 win at Blackpool, this is following the departure of manager Beppe Sannino packed his bag, to be replaced by Oscar Garcia. Garcia though unfortunately has been ill in hospital, our best wishes go out to Spaniard who is expected to have left hospital today.

At the other end of the table Blackpool FC and Fulham FC remain the only two teams yet to win a game. Fulham having recently sacked boss Felix McGath following an extremely poor start to the season, the London club would have expected much better following heavy investment in the summer.

Blackpool on the other hand don't really know what is happening. Jose Riga is still in charge at the club, even after all the rumours and even reports of his sacking from the club. You really have to feel for the seaside club who have a great set of supports and after a year in the Premier League would have expected the club to be moving forward.

Mid-table and the fight to try and get into the top sick is close as you would expect it at this time of the season. A couple of wins could see you jump ten places and be in the top six. The chances of that happening though see slim, as most teams seem capable of beating another.

Middlesbrough FC though show what can happen picking up two wins and six points as they reach 9th and one point away from the top six. Stringing early season form together is very important if you want to be challenging for promotion.

This season is only just starting and already it is heating up!
