In the Away End
The thoughts of the opposing half
View from the opposition: Wigan v Forest
I talk to SeatPitch ahead of tonight's game with Nottingham Forest. Wigan looking to try and resurrect our poor early season form, Nottingham looking to continue their fine start to the season. Who will come out on top at the DW Stadium? Well if we win it will be a bloody miracle!
What are the best Away Days?
With 3750 fans set to travel to Ethiad this sunday, I take a look back at some of my most memorable away days as a Wigan fan.
Get to know the opposition: Yeovil Town
On Sunday, Wigan will make there first ever 234 mile trip down south to take on new boys Yeovil town. The Glovers lie 14 places below the Latics at the bottom of the table. I spoke to 15 year old Lewis Deverill who has been supporting Yeovil for 11 years, Anthony had a quick chat to Lewis about the Glovers.
Meeting the Opposition: Rubin Kazan
What could be the last instalment of what has been I think a very interesting serious of posts; on the teams we are playing in Europe. Thursday’s game sees Wigan taken on one of the big teams from the Russian top division.
Meeting The Opposition: NK Maribor
First ever European home game. Lets say that one more time first ever European home game. Sounds good doesn't it? Well its time to take a look at the guys we will be facing and some of the pedigree they poses as a football club.
Owen Coyle New Wigan Manager: Bolton Reaction
Off the back of Owen Coyle signing as our new manager I took a dash over to the Lion of Vienna Suite to hope I would find someone who would give me some good news. If anything what they have had to say is making me more and more worried.
In The Away End: Wigan Athletic vs Newcastle
Question and Answers from Coming Home Newcastle ahead of this Sunday's important game in the Barclay's Premier League.
Q&A: Wigan Athletic vs Reading
Talking to the enemy of Reading ahead of this weekends important clash at the DW Stadium, this could already be on of those big six pointers.
Q&A: Wigan Athletic vs Everton
Time for another question time, and this week my questions are answered from royalty. Well that is if you believe the site name, it is of course SB Nation's very own Royal Blue Mersey. They know their stuff on Everton.
Q&A: Sunderland vs Wigan Athletic
We continue our count down to this weekends game, with our own away visit. The guys over at Roker Report, are great, one of out own SB Nation sites, and I am glad to say that Dan Williams has supplied me with some answers to my questions.
Alcaraz and Franco are out!
Both player can now be confirmed out (the match report you may have read suggested Di Santo's possible inclusion, that was written last night!) they will miss the game both through muscular strains. Antolin Alcaraz has missed over three weeks
Q&A: Wigan Athletic vs Fulham
The number five game mark is coming, and this season we face a team that I have already said, I don't like when Wigan face them. They are truly the bogey team for Wigan, whatever happens expect Fulham to play okay and yet somehow win.
Q&A: Manchester United vs Wigan Athletic
Its coming back, the Premier League that is and this weekend's game is nearly as hard as they get. An away day tie with Manchester United, and you appear like you are all set. The hope for many Wigan fans, is that we can repaet what we did.....
Q&A: Wigan Athletic vs Chelsea
Well with the first game of the season fast approaching this weekend, everyone has to be excited about the start of the new season. It doesn't matter who you play just that your team plays and kicks that ball to start the season off.
Q&A: Wigan Athletic vs Newcastle United
Been a long time since we heard from the opposition fans, but its a nice time to hear from a club, which I will admit i have a great deal of respect for. Newcastle United have been the story of the season, playing great football and winning consistently which to many is a shock and surprise. But to the Newcastle fans it feels like where they ought to be.
Q&A: Wigan Athletic vs Aston Villa
Its a funny old game football. And as we approach a game, which in my mind was a week overdue. I talked to Aaron Campeau, from 7500 To Holte, about all things ahead of the game. It looks to be an enthralling contest with two teams, that three points would be very much appreciated.
Q&A: Wigan Athletic vs Everton
With the weekend game looming, its time for the away end feature, where we chase up an opposition fan and ask them a few questions about their club and how the season is going for them so far. Unfortuantly for Brain Lewis over at Royal Blue Mersey, he was the one stuck answering our questions.
Q&A: Wigan Athletic vs Manchester City
As I right this, Wigan are now bottom of the table and are starting to come adrift, and you have to wonder why. Recent performances have been brilliant, yet we haven't picked up as many points as we should have or really needed too.
Q&A: Wigan Athletic vs Sunderland
Well its the start of the turn around games. Playing the old faces battaling for more important points. Many say these games get harder, yet Everton and Wigan seem to find it harder.
Q&A Manchester United vs Wigan Athletic
Ah the classic boxing day clash. While many people sit at home with families eating the left overs from another memorable Christmas. Our heroes turn out to play for us, over the years there have been some right crackers of matches on Boxing Day.
Q&A Wigan Athletic vs Liverpool
With the time fast approching for Wigan's third of the big four games, we sent out some questions to ask our Liverpulian counter parts, just what they make of their season? And how much has Kenny Dauglish changed the face of Liverpool?
Q&A: Wigan Athletic vs Arsenal
The weeks are coming round so fast, and this week it was the turn of the guys at The Short Fuse to answer my questions, as we dive head first into this weekend’s encounter with Arsenal.
Q&A: Sunderland vs Wigan Athletic
Simon Walsh from Roker Report nipped by this week to just give us a view from the Sunderland perspective ahead of this weekends game. It shows just how Steve Bruce where ever he goes, seems to be hated or unliked. Wonder why that is Bruce?
Q&A: Aston Villa vs Wigan Athletic
With the game less than 24 hours away, our friends at 7500 To Holt kindly agreed to answer some pre-game question to see how the Villa fans are feeling.
